FOTD: Christmas Make-Up: Leopard Print Eyes and Russian Red Lips

Hello Lovelies!
Long time no speak, sorry for my lack of posting lately, I've been snowed under (couldn't resist a winter pun) with work lately and finding the time, and the energy to post has been a bit of a mission.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, got all you wanted, and most importantly had wee break with your nearest and dearest.

For Christmas this year, I received, among other things, a gorgeous leopard print skater style dress.
You know I love a little bit of leopard, so I thought,
what better make-up to team it with than even more leopard!

Also, when I attended the Scottish Blogger's Meet last week, and had an extremely drunken yet hilarious timeI decided to treat myself to an item that had been on my Lust List for an age, MAC Lipstick in Russian Red.
Everyone who has ever raved about this lipstick has been right, it really is the perfect red: blue-toned, matte and packing a hell of a punch in the colour department,
if you only ever buy one red lipstick, get Russian Red!

It really isn't Crimbo without a dodgy Christmas Cracker Hat.

My hair is straight in this photo!
Which is becoming something of a novelty for me, not only unusual as keeping my naturally curly hair straight in the damp is near impossible, but I'm always swayed to curly/wavy styles, GHD you styling temptress!
Desperately need my hair dyed.
I say need, but really, only I notice it, it's just been looking a bit faded and wishy washy,
plus you can't beat new hair to feel fab about yourself.

Onto the look, after a recent make-up splurge in good ole' Superdrug, I have added to my already over-flowing make-up box/carrier bag as I'm currently visiting family, so I have quite a few new additions!
Expect a few Reviews and Haul posts to be creeping onto your radar soon.

Products Used:
- 17 Photo Flawless Primer

- Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in Shade 52

- Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer

Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder in 021, Transparent

Contour:
- MUA Pressed Powder in Shade 4
- Maybelline Dream Touch Blush in 02 Peach
- L'Oreal Paris True Match Blush in Innocent Flush
- MeMeMe Blush in Coral
- Benefit Highbeam

Leopard Print + Eyes:
- HD Brows Kit in Vamp
- MUA Clear Mascara Shade 01 (Used as Brow Gel)

- Urban Decay Naked Palette, Various Browns and Golds

Lips:
- Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in 024, Red Diva
- MAC Lipstick in Russian Red

The method for the leopard print eyes is exactly the same as my leopard print masquerade mask tutorial
only on a smaller, more detailed scale, and only letting the eyeshadow reach the brows.

I know this look is very wild, though it was Crimbo!
And if you can't go all out for Christmas then when can you?
I love Russian Red, the colour lasted all throughout my Christmas Meal,
without so much as even leaving an imprint on my glass!

Was Santa good to you all?
And are you brave enough to sport leopard print and red lipstick?

I think there can be a very fine line between out-there and tacky, especially when you have red lipstick, false eyelashes and leopard print a la Bet Lynch, but doesn't everyone love a bit of tarty tack?
Now, my obsession with all things leopard print may be clouding my beauty blogger vision, but I think this look is kinda classy, with a wild edge, of course.
What do you think?

200 Follower Giveaway - Win The MUA Immaculate Collection!

GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED. WINNER ANNOUNCED SOON.
NO MORE ENTRIES WILL BE COUNTED.

THANK YOU!
Yes, you!
You gorgeous person!
I started my blog just over a month ago on the 27th of October,
and I had absolutely no idea it would take off as much as it has.
Over 12,227 page views, 203 followers, and one extremely chuffed blogger later, I'm very happy to announce my
'200 Follower Giveaway'.
I've had a fantastic blogging experience so far and would love to thank you all for putting up with my ramblings, so I want to share the love with a giveaway!

If you read my blog, you'll know I'm a huge fan of MUA, Make-Up Academy (See here).
If you've bought anything by the brand before, then I'm sure you can vouch for the surprisingly high quality. However as MUA is a brand exclusively sold in Superdrug, a drugstore in the UK, I know a lot of you won't have had the chance to try their make-up.

So what better way to introduce to you to the brand than The MUA Immaculate Collection, a palette containing a whopping 24 eyeshadows, ranging from Mattes, Pearls, Brights and Neutrals, it really is the only eyeshadow palette you'd ever need.

My photos really don't do the colour's justice, they are a lot more intense in real life, and the pigmentation is amazing, to see swatches of typical MUA Eyeshadows click here.
I love this palette so much, I even picked one up for myself, well it would have been rude not too!
So, don't worry, the 'prize' palette is unopened, brand new and still sealed.

Here's a closer look at the shades:

Again, not the best photo, but it gives you an idea of the shades included.
This palette combines the best of their shades, so if you've missed out on the famous Heaven + Earth Palette, then you won't be disappointed.
And isn't the duo-chrome purple in the lower right corner gorgeous?

Now the boring bit.

50% Off Everything At The Body Shop Online!

Hey Lovelies,
Just an extremely quick post to mention that 'The Body Shop' Online are offering 50% off everything in their range, including gifts, skincare and make-up, when you enter the code JOY50 at the checkout.
Also, if you spend over £30, delivery is free.
This offer is only available for 24 hours, and started early this morning, so be quick!

I have a huge family, and when I say huge, I mean it.
I have four older brothers, not to mention step-sisters, and step-brothers, seven uncles, and countless cousins, nieces and nephews, so even getting everyone a teeny gift soon adds up.
That's why I absolutely jumped at this discount code, I've managed to get all my Christmas Presents in one order!!
I'm so chuffed with myself, and it's a huge relief off my chest. I only need to get wrapping paper, a few pressies for my nieces and nephews, and I'm done!

I don't mind sharing my order, as I saved so much, and I even bought a couple of cheeky treats for myself:

Sorry the picture isn't clearer, it's just a print screen of my order, but you get the rough idea,
(and yes, I really did buy 12 Men's Gift Sets!).
All in all I bought 28 gifts and items, which normally would have cost me an eye-watering £214,
however, with the discount code, I saved 50%, bringing the total to £107.
I realise £107 isn't exactly spare change,
but when you consider it works out on average under £4 a gift, it really is amazing!

My top buy would have to be the Mini Gift Cubes.

They come in loads of different types and smells, each containing;
a 60ml Shower Cream, a 60ml Body Lotion and an Ultra Fine Bath Lily, all wrapped in a cute little box.
Normally these would be fantastic value at £6 each, but for only £3, they are a must buy!
Perfect for Secret Santas, Mums, Sisters, Grans, Friends, Teachers, and those unexpected guests.

I know I wrote a similar post recently on the ASOS sale, and I swear I am in no way being sponsored/paid, or even acknowledged for these posts. I know that Christmas can be really a tough and stressful time, so I'm just passing on any deals and discounts that catch my eye, and would never promote anything I wouldn't use myself.

If you have your Christmas sorted already, (how organised are you!?), then it's still worth taking a look for yourself, I can recommend their foundations and make-up brushes.
I'm so glad I don't have to trek out in the cold this year, online shopping FTW!
Have you finished your Christmas Shopping yet?
Will you be picking anything up with The Body Shop Discount Code?

ASOS Timed Sale 30% Off Christmas Gifts, Including GHD! And a Mini Christmas Gift Guide

I've just nabbed myself a bargain.
And, even as I write this, I feel incredibly guilty for spending so close to Christmas, but I just couldn't resist.
ASOS, the reputable online fashion and beauty retailer announced their timed Sunday sale this morning,
#ASOSSavvySunday, and boy, is it a whopper!

I've teamed up with the lovely Katherine, over at Models & Mortals, for this post.
Kaffie will be showing you her fashion finds, and I'll be taking you through the beauty bargains on offer.
So if you'd like to see Katherine's picks, click here.

To make shopping a little bit easier, I've put together a wee gift guide, at prices to suit every budget.
So here's a sneaky peek at some of the bargain's on sale:

Secret Santa
Was: £6.00, Now: £4.00

I love gifts like these, you know, the ones that look so much more expensive than they actually are.
What can I say, I'm stingy a bargain lover.
This Anatomicals & ASOS Gift Set contains a 30ml tub of Eye Gel and a cooling Eye Mask.
I can't think of a better present to soothe tired eyes in the party season.

Sister/Best Friend
Was: £15, Now: £8.95

Again, another cheekily expensive looking gift. When I first saw this products on the lovely Alex's blog, I was kind of unimpressed by it, but when I saw the swatches, I was blown away. Sounds silly, but I never realised you are actually getting 3 eyeshadows, the darker blue/grey, the light cream, and the silvery colour when mixed.
This little eyeshadow has everything you would need for a unique twist on a smokey-eye.

Mum
Was: £14, Now: £9.50

Who doesn't love a bit of Soap & Glory?
This little wash bag contains a their cult pampering products, including;
Hand Food: 50ml, Flake Away: 50ml, Clean On Me: 75ml, and the Righteous Body Butter: 50ml.
The perfect gift for a mummy who needs a bit of time to herself.

Girlfriend
Was: £45, Now: £31.50

How made up would you be with your boyfriend if you received this gift set on Christmas day?
Originally designed for Valentine's Day, this set contains;
The iconic Nars Orgasm Blush, a Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Sex Machine and the Sexual Healing Lipstick.
Oooeer!
The Orgasm Blusher alone retails at £20.50, and the whole set together is worth £55.50,
so you're making a total saving of £24!
I was really cheeky, and picked this gift set up for myself, as I'd been lusting after the Orgasm Blush.
If there any boyfriend's looking for a fail-safe Crimbo Pressie, this is it!

Someone Really Special
Were: £129, Now: £90

GHD's for £90! Saving a whopping £40!
I can absolutely guarantee that these GHD's are real, and come from a reputable company, ASOS.
Sound too good to be true?
Well, sorry to disappoint, but it kind of is, as the GHD's have sold out already.
UPDATE: THE GHD's ARE BACK IN STOCK FOR ONLY £90!
I feel extremely guilty, as not only did I manage to pick up a pair for myself
(at £90, I snapped those bad boys up asap), but I'm also including them in this blog post.
All I can say is keep an eye on the sales, and hope they run a similar offer soon.
The Boho Chic Era Style wouldn't have been my first choice, as I had been coveting the new Scarlett Stylers
However, when I realised that the actual stylers were the same, both the new gold series, and that only difference is the bag, and the extra £40 price difference, they were in my basket before you could day 'Good Hair Day'.
This is the cheapest I've ever seen the new (real) GHD's, so I'm really glad I picked them up.

My order also qualified for free next day delivery,
although ASOS offer free standard delivery on all orders, and free returns.
The ASOS timed sale ends at 8am tomorrow morning, the 5th of December.
Have you had a peek at the ASOS Sale yet?
What's on your Christmas wishlist?
