200 Follower Giveaway - Win The MUA Immaculate Collection!

GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED. WINNER ANNOUNCED SOON.
NO MORE ENTRIES WILL BE COUNTED.

THANK YOU!
Yes, you!
You gorgeous person!
I started my blog just over a month ago on the 27th of October,
and I had absolutely no idea it would take off as much as it has.
Over 12,227 page views, 203 followers, and one extremely chuffed blogger later, I'm very happy to announce my
'200 Follower Giveaway'.
I've had a fantastic blogging experience so far and would love to thank you all for putting up with my ramblings, so I want to share the love with a giveaway!

If you read my blog, you'll know I'm a huge fan of MUA, Make-Up Academy (See here).
If you've bought anything by the brand before, then I'm sure you can vouch for the surprisingly high quality. However as MUA is a brand exclusively sold in Superdrug, a drugstore in the UK, I know a lot of you won't have had the chance to try their make-up.

So what better way to introduce to you to the brand than The MUA Immaculate Collection, a palette containing a whopping 24 eyeshadows, ranging from Mattes, Pearls, Brights and Neutrals, it really is the only eyeshadow palette you'd ever need.

My photos really don't do the colour's justice, they are a lot more intense in real life, and the pigmentation is amazing, to see swatches of typical MUA Eyeshadows click here.
I love this palette so much, I even picked one up for myself, well it would have been rude not too!
So, don't worry, the 'prize' palette is unopened, brand new and still sealed.

Here's a closer look at the shades:

Again, not the best photo, but it gives you an idea of the shades included.
This palette combines the best of their shades, so if you've missed out on the famous Heaven + Earth Palette, then you won't be disappointed.
And isn't the duo-chrome purple in the lower right corner gorgeous?

Now the boring bit.

Freebie From Glamour Test Panel - The New Clearasil Daily Clear PerfectaWash

Did you guess what was in my Glamour Test Panel Box?

Nope?
I'm not surprised, this gadget isn't even in the shops until January!

It's the new 'Clearisil Daily Clear PerfectaWash', containing, Superfruits Extracts & Vitamin E refill facewash, which is specifically designed for oily skin that is prone to breakouts.
But, it's not just a bottle of face wash, it also comes with an Automatic Face Wash Dispenser, kind of along the same lines as the no-touch hand washes that are on the scene at the moment.

At first I was a little confused, the touch-free hand soap is designed as a more hygienic to wash your hands after you go to the toilet, but why would you need a cleaner way to wash your face?
However, once I read the information Glamour provided, it made a bit more sense.
Basically, the concept is to give you the perfect dose of face wash, meaning you get the right amount to clean your skin without drying it out. The refill provides 100 washes, which if used morning and night, should last around 7 weeks.
The dispenser takes 3AA batteries, provided with the dispenser, you just switch it on at the back, wait till the blue light stops flashing and then place your hand under the dispenser.
I was a little surprised at how much face wash they recommend you to use, the amount provided was at least double as to what I would normally use.

The face wash itself is really nice, effective at reducing oil, yet gentle.
But, something just isn't selling it to me, I think it's because Clearasil are trying to solve a problem that no one really has. I mean, we all know how to wash our face, right?
Plus, I keep accidently activating it, and I'm pretty sure, my flatmates have been using it as hand soap...

I am really enjoying using the product, and like I said, the face wash is perfect for my skin but at an RRP of £12.99, I wouldn't purchase it myself.
However, as a freebie, it's a fab item to try, and I'm not gonna lie, it's nice to try an 'exclusive-not-even-available-in shops-yet' product.

Do you think there is a need for this product?
Is it something you'd like to try?

Fancy Some Free Stuff from Glamour?

Fancy testing brand new beauty products?
Of course you do, bit of a silly question really.
I thought I'd let you in on a secret, The Glamour Panel.

I read Glamour magazine, and am a subscriber anyway, but you don't need to buy the magazine, or even be a fan of it.
I noticed an ad in the magazine a while back asking offering readers a chance to test the latest products, and all they would have to do in return is complete a short survey, stating what they thought about the product.

To join, you just need to give your contact details and complete a short survey, Glamour also point out that your details will not be sold on or traded, and are kept in the strictest confidence.

When a new product comes around that they would like you to test, they send you an email, you complete a short survey stating your skin/hair type, and you receive the product in the post a couple of days later.

So far, I've received a full size Aveeno Moisturising Creamy Oil,

I couldn't find an RRP for this products, but other products in the Aveeno range retail for around £5-8. I couldn't fault that the moisturiser was nourishing, and non-greasy, but it absolutely stank of Play Dough, remember that?
The smell was just too off-putting, and really discouraged me from using the Moisturiser.

Then, last week, I received this box in the post,

Containing this bad boy, can you guess what it is?

I'm gonna leave you hanging a bit longer, but it is something brand new, and well worth a look...
You can see a full review of the product in this post.

I would really recommend signing up to the glamour panel, it's free and you might get a few freebies, plus when you sign up you automatically get entered into a prize draw to win vouchers and gifts.

You can sign up for the panel here.

Are you signed up to the Glamour Panel?

Free Double-Ended Mascara with December's Company Magazine

I know how you love your freebies, so just a heads up to let you know that with this month's Company Magazine (December) there is a free Double-Ended Mascara included.
The Mascara had a Silver "Build It" Base Coat and a Black Extra Volume Top Coat "Lash It".
The magazine itself is only £2, but the Mascara is not branded, so you are probably getting what you pay for with this one.

Company actually gave away the very same Mascara last year, (I think I may still have it in the back of a drawer somewhere), but as I said, it's not gonna be the new Holy Grail of Mascara.
I'm really happy with my lash routine at the moment (Benefit's They're Real and No7 Lash Adapt).
So rather than open it up, only for it to retire to the Make-Up Graveyard back of my drawer, I'll leave it sealed and either give it away or do some cheeky re-gifting (poor student, don't judge me).

For £2, and the magazine itself it's worth picking up, but I wouldn't buy it for the freebie alone, unlike the free Nails Inc Polish with Glamour, or the free Lip Rock Lip Gloss with Cosmopolitan.

Have you picked up any good freebies this month?

Free Lip Rock Lip Gloss worth £6.95 with this month's Cosmopolitan Magazine

A little post just to mention that with this month's (December) Cosmopolitan Magazine you get a free

If that wasn't enough for you freebie lovers, there is also a discount card for The Body Shop worth either £3, £15 or a whopping £100, (you just need to take it into you local store and they'll let you know how much it's worth).
Included with this month's issue is their "Little Book of Big Discounts", I've had a quick flick through the book and discounts featured are Bourgois, Avon, The Body Shop, Nfu.Oh Nail Polish, and plenty more.
And, there's even a cheeky pack of Cadbury Fabulous Fingers to nibble while you read, nomnomnom.

I picked up a super glittery red gloss, and (as far as I can tell), you can chose between a coral and a pinkish colour too.
The magazine is £3.50 itself, but you get at least £10 of freebies, maybe even more if you get lucky with your Joy Body Shop Card, (let me know if you do).
My last magazine freebie post went down really well, (Glamour are giving readers a free £11 Nails Inc Polish), so I thought if your anything like me and love a good bargain, you might like this.

I'm not sure if I'll keep the LipGloss or not,
LipGloss + My Long Hair + Edinburgh Windy Weather = A Furry Sticky Pout,
So I may add it to my Giveway (Coming Soon), either way it's a great deal.

Are you a Lipgloss Lover? Will you pick up this month's Cosmo?
Also, please let me know if you like Magazine Freebie Posts :)

M x

Update: My Blogger is acting really weird and every time I try to comment on one of you lovely lady's blogs, it skips past the Captcha and then deletes my comment.
It's really frustrating because I love interacting with other bloggers and it's making me look like the most unsociable, stuck-up betch.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Free Nails Inc Polish worth £11 with Glamour Magazine

Just a quick post to mention that included with this month's Glamour Magazine is a free full-size Nails Inc Nail Polish worth £11. The magazine itself is only £2, so you are effectively saving £9 and getting a free magazine, not too shabby.
The shade I received was Basil Street a pale soft toffee colour, but there are three other colours available. As far as I can see from the picture in last month's issue, they are a deep red, a dark mauve pink and a black/possibly dark brown, (names not known I'm afraid).
The Polish comes in a lovely little box and is not marked with any ugly, "Do Not Resell" or "Free with Glamour", so if it's not your cup of tea, you could even put it away as a cheeky Christmas or Birthday Present.
My lovely boyfriend, James, bought me a subscription to Glamour, so I would have got the magazine anyway, but if you're not, it's definitely worth checking out.
Also, when I subscribed around 2 weeks ago, I got a fab free gift, a Murad Hybrids Skin Perfecting Primer, worth £27.
My free gift only arrived in the post a couple of days ago, so I'm yet to try it out properly, but it will feature in my Battle of The Primers post, (soon to come).
My subscription was only £15 for 12 months, but so far I've already received £38 worth of freebies, not to mention the magazine itself, so I think it was well worth the money.
You can subscribe to Glamour, and receive the free Murad Primer, here.
This post is in no way sponsored or affiliated with Glamour, I just thought I'd pass on a good deal. And if, like me, you buy Glamour anyway, it's worth having a look.
